Calvary announces 2018 Alumni Achievement Award recipient!

On Saturday, May 19th, during the senior graduation ceremony the 2018 Alumni Achievement Award recipient was announced. Below is the introduction of the recipient and a short video.

An introduction of the Alumni Achievement Award recipient as introduced by Mr. Len McWilliams, a former Calvary Christian School Headmaster:

One Calvary graduate is recognized each year for his or her outstanding contributions in fulfilling their God-given responsibilities in the home, church, and community.  All graduates of Calvary Christian School become eligible five years after high school graduation.

The individual should be known for their outstanding contributions in fulfilling their God-given responsibilities in the home, church, and community.  This criterion is built upon the mission statement of Calvary Christian School, which states “Calvary Christian School exists to encourage students to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, develop a Biblical worldview, attain their individual academic excellence, and fulfill their God-given responsibilities in the home, church, and community.”

The 2018 recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award is a 2011 graduate of Calvary, having been a student here since she was three years old. This graduate is currently serving in Colombia, South America working with children and teens through a non-profit foundation she and her husband founded. The children are taught that they are loved by the Lord using strategies such as English classes and after-school programs.

This year’s Alumni Achievement Award recipient is Karson Barefield Meneses!” – Len McWilliams, Former CCS Headmaster

Congratulations to the 2018 Calvary Christian School Alumni Achievement Award recipient, Karson Barefield Meneses. Karson could not accept the award in person as she is in Colombia. Accepting the award on her behalf were her parents, Rob and Kim Barefield.
